Charge for the Technology Committee
The Technology Committee is responsible for enhancing member experience and engagement through the strategic use of technology, aligning with Literacy Nation’s goals of increased brand awareness and providing innovative solutions to support the organization’s operations. The committee will work closely with the Executive Board and other committees to ensure that Literacy Nation leverages the latest digital tools and platforms to improve communication, streamline processes, and create a seamless, engaging experience for members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Management and Coordination: The committee will oversee Literacy Nation’s social media presence, creating and implementing strategies that increase engagement, promote key initiatives, and raise brand awareness across platforms. This includes content planning, posting schedules, and audience interaction to grow Literacy Nation’s digital footprint.
- Technology Support for Events: The committee will provide technology support for conferences, online webinars, seminars, and other virtual events, ensuring smooth execution of online programs. This includes managing platforms (e.g., Zoom, webinar tools), troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring a seamless experience for both presenters and attendees.
- Website Maintenance and Enhancement: The committee will be responsible for maintaining and improving Literacy Nation’s website, ensuring it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and accessible. This may include managing content, optimizing the site for search engines, and ensuring a seamless integration with membership platforms and event registration systems.
Committee Meetings:
The committee will meet monthly to review ongoing technology initiatives, assess the effectiveness of current platforms and tools, and propose new technology solutions that support member engagement and organizational growth. Regular meetings will facilitate collaboration with other committees to align digital strategies with overall organizational goals.
